Canadian punk trio Metz release the video for "Mr Plague" from their 2017 album Strange Peace.
Typically abrasive and confrontational, it is decadence that drives both the track and the visuals of "Mr Plague". Adult Swim in style, the video shows a dystopian world where men are turned into statues and plastic bags are strewn across the landscape.
Described by director Shayne Ehman as "a consumer wasteland", the imagery is paired with Alex Edkins’ abrasive vocals perfectly, continuing their penchant for the weird and direct.
"Mr Plague" is another track taken from Strange Peace, following on from "Drained Lake", "Mess of Wires" and "Cellophane". Metz have also added additional dates to their European tour in support of Strange Peace, including Reading and Leeds Festival and The Globe, Cardiff on 17 August.
