Ani Glass shares new single "Phantasmagoria"
Welsh–Cornish electro-pop artist Ani Glass has shared new single “Phantasmagoria” as the first taste of her upcoming second album of the same name.
Sung in Welsh and English, the track features Laura J Martin on flute and Glass’s co-producer Iwan Morgan on synths. Speaking of the new single, Glass says: “This is my document of the day that changed everything.”
It’s the Cardiff-based musician’s first new music since her 2022 track “Ennill yn Barod”, written for the Welsh national football team's World Cup bid. Glass, who is a former member of The Pipettes along with her sister Gwenno, put out her debut solo album Mirores in March 2020, but the release was overshadowed by a diagnosis of a rare brain tumour just a few weeks earlier. Her experience of that time feeds into the concept and songs of Phantasmagoria.
"Phantasmagoria" is out now.
