Tim Burgess to host listening parties for 2020 Mercury Prize-nominated albums
The 2020 Mercury Prize nominees are due to take part in Tim Burgess' Twitter listening parties over the next couple of weeks.
Less than a month away from finding out the winner of this year's Hyundai Mercury Prize Award, Tim Burgess has confirmed that he'll host a series of Twitter listening parties ahead of the winner reveal on 24 September.
Burgess will host listening parties for seven of the 12 nominated albums, including Laura Marling's Song For Our Daughter, Moses Boyd's Dark Matter, Georgia's Seeking Thrills, Anna Meredith's Fibs, Porridge Radio's Every Bad, Lanterns On The Lake's Spook the Herd, as well as Sports Team's Deep Down Happy.
The listening parties will take place on 2-3 and 9-10 September.
Last year's Mercury Prize was won by Dave for his PSYCHODRAMA debut album.
Anna Calvi is one of the new additions on this year's Mercury Prize judging panel. She will join the likes of Jorja Smith, Annie Mac, Gaz Coombes, Jamie Cullum, Mike Walsh and more in picking this year's Mercury Prize winner.
