Robyn is in the studio with Metronomy's Joe Mount
Robyn has posted a few clips from the studio on Instagram, with Metronomy's Joe Mount and producer Klas Åhlund seen working behind the scenes.
Robyn appears to be recording with the duo at London's Strongroom Studio - where Björk, M.I.A., and FKA Twigs have worked in recent years.
It's not the first time the Swedish popstar has linked up with Mount - she guested on "Hang Me Out To Dry" on Metronomy's latest album - and in 2016 it was revealed she was writing with him for her next album.
"The songs we’ve written for Robyn’s album are varied," he told Classic Pop magazine. "Some are like classic ‘90s Robyn pop, but we’re also pushing my writing to sound a bit more modern, to match her up-to-date mind. Robyn is still figuring out what to do with her album, so my songs might not even be used. But it’s been so much fun working with Robyn that I wouldn’t mind."
Robyn's also worked extensively with Åhlund in the past - he co-wrote and produced big chunks of Robyn and Body Talk. As well as Mount and Åhlund, Robyn was recently seen in the studio with Zhala.
Robyn hasn't officially released solo music in a long time (Body Talk was released in 2010), but last year she contributed an impressive fragment of a track called "Honey" to the final season of HBO's Girls.
Robyn has had a surprisingly busy past few years - as well as guesting on Metronomy's new record, she's rolled out the massive RMX/RBN series, played a handful of huge shows and spearheaded her own Tekla fest. In the (too many) years since Body Talk was released, the Swedish star has released music with the likes of La Bagatelle Magique, Mr. Tophat, Todd Rundgren, Kindness, and Röyksopp. She also released a Tack tour film and announced a reissue of Body Talk on vinyl (where is that?).
