The shortlist for this year's Hyundai Mercury Prize has been announced, featuring a list filled with debut albums by the likes of Arlo Parks, BERWYN, Black Country, New Road and more.

Last year saw Michael Kiwanuka win the Mercury Prize Award for his Kiwanuka album.
Yesterday (21 July), ahead of the nominations being revealed, the judging panel for this year's Mercury prize was announced, featuring returning judges Anna Calvi, Annie Mac, Jamie Cullum, as well as last year's winner Kiwanuka.
The 2021 Hyundai Mercury Prize winner will be announced during an awards show at London's Eventim Apollo on 9 September. Visit mercuryprize.com for more information.
