It turns out Prince's favourite colour wasn't even purple
Prince, a man virtually synonymous with the colour purple, was rather partial to a different hue.
Since his untimely passing we've learned a lot about the myth, the legend that is Prince: he was more generous than we thought we knew, he loved memes and ping-pong, Kate Bush reckons he was "adorable", and a nixed Simpsons episode featuring Prince coulda be great.
Now we've got another fragment of The Purple One's story - his favourite colour was orange, says his sister Tyka Nelson in a new interview. Orange. Orange.
"It is strange because people always associate the colour purple with Prince...." Nelson says to the Evening Standard. "But his favourite colour was actually orange.”
This mind-blowing revelation comes just shortly after Pantone named a shade of purple in honour of Prince.
