Gorillaz have announced their new Song Machine single "The Pink Phantom", which features Elton John and 6LACK and will arrive later today (1 October).

Elton John and 6LACK will appear on "The Pink Phantom", which will be the latest taster of Gorillaz's Song Machine: Season One - Strange Timez album.

"The Pink Phantom" will follow Robert Smith collaboration "Strange Timez", which landed earlier this month.

Gorillaz uploaded a snippet of the new track last night (30 September), ahead of its release at 5pm BST today (1 October).

Elton John wrote of the collaboration on Twitter, "I’ve always been a Gorillaz fan so when Damon reached out and asked me to get involved it was a no-brainer."

Gorillaz have also shared six other singles from their forthcoming album, including ScHoolboy Q collaboration "PAC-MAN", Friday 13th" featuring Octavian, "Momentary Bliss" featuring Slaves and slowthai, "Désolé" with Fatoumata Diawara and "Aries" featuring Peter Hook and Georgia. Gorillaz also released "How Far?" with Skepta and the late Tony Allen in May to pay tribute to the legendary drummer.

"The Pink Phantom" featuring Elton John and 6LACK drops at 5pm BST today (1 October). Gorillaz's Song Machine: Season One - Strange Timez album will be released 23 October, and is available to pre-order now.
