
Disclosure sample Etran Finatawa on new track "Etran"
Disclosure have dropped another new track "Etran", this time sampling Niger-based band Etran Finatawa.
"Etran" is the fourth new track from the duo in the same week, after earlier songs "Expressing What Matters", "Tondo", and "Ecstasy".
Discussing the new track on Twitter, Disclosure write, "The bulk of this samples Niger-based band Etran Finatawa. With this one we are exploring an idea... How far can we take a sound that's somewhere in the realm of house music, until it morphs into a whole new being? Colliding genres together in a mash of pulsating, repeating rhythms and tones... this is the furthest we have ever taken that idea."
It's not the first time Disclosure have released multiple tracks in the same week. Back in 2018, Disclosure shared the tracks from their Moonlight EP across five days.
The duo are still yet to follow up their 2015 album Caracal.
Although the duo have only released two tracks with Khalid since 2018, Disclosure’s Guy Lawrence did contribute to Mac Miller's posthumous album Circles that landed last month.
