Verve-signed Aron! releases debut EP Cozy you (and other nice songs)
Singer-songwriter Aron! has released his debut EP – a six-track project on the legendary Verve Records he describes as "cozy pop".
The 21-year-old from Charlotte, North Carolina began playing guitar at age eight after being inspired by Guitar Hero and later studied classical composition at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and then jazz voice at the University of Miami. Before signing with Verve, he performed with the indie pop band Sunny Side Up! and gained traction online with his vintage-inspired sound.
The Cozy you (and other nice songs) EP, out now, explores themes of love and relationships, drawing from jazz and singer-songwriter traditions. “I've always resonated with the real old-school romantics," he explains. People are going through the same things now as they were back then. Heartbreak is heartbreak, and love is love. We’re all humans, and that’s what most of these songs are about.”
