mui zyu joins forces with Miss Grit on new single, “please be ok”
British Hong Kong London-based artist mui zyu has shared "please be ok" as the final single ahead of the release of her new album, nothing or something to die for.
"'please be ok' means many things, it can be supportive, judgemental, mediocre, passable, fine (whatever that means), it can be good after bad, or bad after good, everything... or nothing - pure absurdity really. when i started this song i wondered if it would be ok to ask Miss Grit to help with it, when they said 'ok', i thought 'ok this is the best news'. they brought all sorts of magic to the song and production making it extra special (which is more than ok)," she explains.
mui zyu will play festivals this summer and set out on a headline UK tour in October in Glasgow, Leeds, Bristol, and London. She will also be hosting a Bandcamp Listening Party to celebrate nothing or something to die for on May 22 at 9pm BST.
mui zyu's second album, nothing or something to die for, is set for release on 24 May via Father/Daughter. To RSVP to the Bandcamp listening party, visit muizyu.bandcamp.com.
