The Flaming Lips release $2500 'Blood Vinyl'

So, this is a news post we never thought we’d write…

But alas, The Flaming Lips are set to release a special edition of their Record Store Day LP, The Flaming Lips And Heavy Fwends, containing the blood of the band and many of the contributors to the album.

So that means that you’ll get the bodily fluids of Ke$ha, Nick Cave, Chris Martin, among others. Very appealing, right?

Well even if that did sound somewhat attractive, it’s going to cost you big bucks. The ‘Blood Vinyl’ will be sold for $2,500, with only 10 copies made.

The limited edition release will be on sale at the end of the week. You can check out what it looks like pictured above.
