Cain Culto taps Sudan Archives for new single, "KFC Santeria"
Queer artist Cain Culto has released a new reimagined version of his single, "KFC Santeria", featuring Sudan Archives.
"We wanted to flip the track and highlight our cultural backgrounds. With everything happening in our country right now, and specifically in Los Angeles, it felt important to highlight and celebrate our heritage. For me as a first generation child of Central and South American immigrants I take what is happening in my community right now very seriously. I’m holding a lot of grief and anger, and I needed to get it out on this track," Culto explained.
Speaking about working with Cain Culto, Sudan Archives added: “It’s rare to see someone use the fiddle the way he does and make the music he makes. I found him through fans commenting on his video and was like ‘Oh this is lit’. I fuck with Cain. He reminds me of myself lol.”
