Robyn drops succulent new track "Honey"
Robyn shares new track "Honey", the title track to her first album in eight years.
Robyn is two decades into her impressive career and shows no signs of slowing down with the syrupy sweet new track "Honey".
A demo version of "Honey" was used in a scene for the HBO series Girls last year.
Speaking to New York Times, Robyn said of the new single, "It’s not produced or written as a normal pop song. It is totally based on this idea of club music. When you’re listening to club music, there’s no reward. The reward isn’t, ‘Oh, here’s the chorus, here’s the lyric that makes sense.’ You have to enjoy what it is. You have to enjoy that there’s no conclusion.”
The Swedish singer/songwriter's new single is the second to be revealed from her new album, arriving after "Missing U".
Although Honey is her first album since 2010's Body Talk, Robyn has been keeping busy by collaborating with other artists such as Metronomy, Mr. Tophat, Todd Rundgren and ZHALA, who will appear on a track from Robyn's Honey album.
