PJ Harvey confirmed to play Glastonbury 2016
PJ Harvey has joined the steadily growing list of acts confirmed for Glastonbury 2016.
Harvey is set to play The Other Stage on Sunday, showcasing material from upcoming LP The Hope Six Demolition Project at the gala for the first time.
Also confirmed is a "really exciting" David Bowie tribute, although details of exactly what this entails are still scant.
Organiser Emily Eavis was speaking to BBC 6 Music about the festival when she revealed the news.
The news arrives shortly after the revelation that Coldplay are headlining the Somerset shindig for a record fourth time. Grimes and Jeff Lynne's ELO are also on the bill this year.
Harvey's got a busy summer ahead, and has been confirmed for a bunch of festivals on the continent, including Roskilde, Open'er, Way Out West, Primavera, and Øya. She's also set to perform at London's Field Day 2016.
Glastonbury 2016 takes place 22-26 June, and is sold out. The full line up is expected in April, although another headliner might be confirmed in the next "couple of weeks".
