Chris Brown could face one year in jail after hit-and-run charge
Hip-hop’s most controversial star, Chris Brown finds himself in hot water once again after facing jail time for a driving incident during May.
Brown, who is still on probation after being found guilty of domestic abuse against fellow singer and on-off girlfriend Rihanna back in 2009, has been charged with hit-and-run and driving without a license.
The incident in question took place in San Fernando Valley on 21 May, with the case hearing now scheduled for 15 July. Brown has denied the charges publicly, writing on Twitter that the driver ”contacted the cops thinking of a payday from Chris Brown when I followed the proper procedures.”
If found guilty, Brown could face up to a year in prison, say Rolling Stone.
