If you've never heard of Catherine Slater, who goes by Slayyyter, before, she's a singer/songwriter and artist from Saint Louis, who is the love child of Britney Spears and Charli XCX. Just in time for Valentine's Day she drops her newest single, "Mine".
Slayyyter's songs are catchy as hell, though probably not for everyone. "Mine" is her sweetest track so far – it sounds like it could've been made in the 90s. "Oh me, oh my, oh me, oh my / Oh yeah, I wanna make you mine," she sings over the bouncy club beats.
Slayyyter is expected to release her debut mixtape this year. Originally slated for a November release, she pushed it back as she wanted it to be perfect.
"Mine" is out now.
