Stockholm/NYC artist and avant-garde producer Kissey is streaming "Distortion" from upcoming EP The Awakening.
Kissey's CV is lengthy, and she's worked with Rustie, Dorian Concept, Actress, Zed Bias and King Britt, but on her own material she showcases an exceptional talent for subverting the norms of electronic and dance music. On "Distortion", as you might imagine, there's a distinct lack of easy-listening moments. It's warped, twisted and blunted by puncy beats; she borrows from '80s house and experimental ambient, and while you might not hear this on your average Friday night out, it somehow manages to make you move regardless.
KISSKISS are set to release The Awakening EP on 28 April.
