Breakout singer-songwriter GRACEY releases evocative debut solo single “Different Things”
“Different Things” marks a new chapter for the already in-demand 21-year-old songwriter. With vocal qualities reminiscent of reigning pop queen Lorde, GRACEY’s first gloriously gutsy alt-pop cut hints at potential for further greatness.
With raw intensity backed by emotion-driven lyrics, GRACEY's first solo outing “Different Things” was written and produced at home with long-term collaborator Alan Sampson.
A bittersweet and affecting ode for anyone who’s had their heart stuck on someone only interested in messing with their feelings, GRACEY’s been there too and packs a punch as she depicts being pushed to breaking point: “I tried everything / I put you first but I never quite got that in return.”
The track is paired with a deliciously old-school and simplistically styled video that finds GRACEY in a confessional yet wistful mood. The visuals add to the ferocious vocals; it’s emotive and gripping from start to finish.
