COBRAH returns with BDSM-influenced eclectic electronica on “Wet”
Bridging the gap between punk ideals and art-pop aesthetic, Swedish Grammy nominee COBRAH returns with her second single “Wet”, an off-kilter release that’s as understated as it is idiosyncratic.
While it’s easy to imagine “Wet” sitting comfortably in both the charts and club playlists, COBRAH harbours an irrefutable sense of subversion, stemming from the pervading influence of vogue culture and the resolute nature of punk, resulting in a track as edgy as it is danceable.
“There’s something so egotistical about being an artist,” COBRAH explains, “and I really want to take it to a godly extent.” However arrogant that may sound, there’s no denying that “Wet” is uncompromising in its delivery, and COBRAH unwavers in her approach to her songcraft. Though only her second single, the track is a statement of intent from the Swedish solo artist.
