Watch Rhodes perform emotional epic "Close Your Eyes" live at the Village Underground [Premiere]
Rhodes is airing a new clip of him performing latest single "Close Your Eyes" at his recent sold-out Village Underground show.
The track is the first official cut from upcoming debut record Wishes, and is a resounding, anthemic piece of emotional indie-pop.
Clearly bound for grander venues, Rhodes' words and notes echo across a gobsmacked audience - it's got a lot of meaning to the up-and-coming songwriter, who said that it's "about my fear of performing". Elaborating on the tone of the lyrics, he added: "I wanted to make this a little more ambiguous so I changed it to the third person and made it more about me talking to somebody else-when really it's me talking to myself."
Wishes is out 4 September on Rhodes Music/Ministry of Sound.
