Listen to Jens Lekman's entire 52-track Postcard project
Over the past year, Swedish troubadour Jens Lekman has been working hard on his Postcards project.
The series has seen him create 52 tracks - one a week - in varying lengths, tones, styles, and moods. When he announced the project, he said: "Here’s my new years resolution for 2015: While working on my next album, I will sit down once a week, write down my thoughts, turn them into a song and share it with you directly. Think of these little songs as postcards. Little greetings from me to you."
Now, at the end of his year-long endeavour, Lekman has given us a sweet, Derek Martin-sampling swan-song in the form of "Postcard # 52".
Writing about the project on his blog, Lekman thanks his fans: "And that's it folks. Thank you so so so much for listening. Take care of each other tonight. See you on the other side. Much love."
Lekman's last studio full-length was 2012's I Know What Love Isn't.
