James Murphy to make directorial debut in short film called 'Little Duck'
LCD Soundsystem mainman, James Murphy is set to make his director’s debut in a new short film for Canon called, wait for it, Little Duck.
As previously revealed, Murphy is set to team up with Happy Days actor, film director and Arrested Development narrator Ron Howard as part of Canon’s Project Imaginat10n campaign.
Shot in Japan and starring Japanese actor Kaneko Nobuaki, the short has been described as regarding “a young man pulled from his life in Manhattan back to his home in rural Japan when his estranged brother runs into trouble”.
The project will be completed in New York over the next couple of months. It’ll then premiere at Canon’s Project Imaginat10n Film Festival in the autumn.
