Hayley Williams completes Petals For Armor II EP with "Dead Horse"
Hayley Williams has completed her Petals For Armor II EP by sharing the final track "Dead Horse".
Back in February, Williams released her Petals For Armor I EP. She was planning to share a second EP with multiple unreleased tracks, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, Williams decided to "release each song from Petals For Armor II, individually."
"Dead Horse" is the fifth and final track to be shared from Petals For Armor II, after previous singles "Why We Ever", "My Friend", "Roses/Lotus/Violet/Iris", and "Over Yet".
Williams says of her Petals For Armor II EP, "PFA ll is the perfect interlude between where Petals began and where it’s going... Part lll isn’t far behind. I needed these songs to help me get to a place where I could name my shame, take inventory of emotional scars, true friends, awful coping mechanisms, and discover what I desire for my life."
She adds, "The latest single, "Dead Horse", offers strength back to a younger, weaker version of myself. I feel like all of this needed to be said in order to embody the kind of woman I hope to be."
