Betsy unveils gospel-infused pop explosion "Time"
Pop newcomer Betsy is sharing new single "Time" on Best Fit ahead of her debut EP's release.
This is the second song from upcoming short-player, and follows the enormous title track/lead single, "Fair".
"Time" is a propulsive, passionate three minutes of gospel-infused melodies, quivering organs, and grand emotional gestures. This song showcases the depth of her booming vocals - which sound instantly iconic - and with each word you can hear her strain against the confines of technology. Betsy is a force meant for the live arena.
Betsy says the song is about "an addictive relationship with a new love. I was angry the day I wrote this, and in a 'if you don't treat me better, I'm off' sort of mood."
The Fair EP is out via Warner/Columbia on 18 March.
