Proverb's debut single has to be heard by fans of dreamy Eno-inspired electronica [Premiere]
London-based newcomer Proverb recently teamed up with Estonian pop star IIRIS for “Ultraviolet//Descent”. The producer’s trippy track premieres today as our Song of the Day.
The lilt of IIRIS’s voice adds a gilded edge to this desert mirage of a song full of heady, insistent beats and shimmering synths. There are just enough crackles and pops in the mix to bathe it in a hint of nostalgia. Midway, the track journeys onto a plateau awash with ambient noise that will surely appeal to listeners who spend time wrapped in Brian Eno’s droning splendor.
“Ultraviolet//Descent” precedes Proverb’s forthcoming EP (release date TBC). The single is available to download now via Bandcamp.
