Get lost in TRASH’s hazy new offering “81”
The indie upstarts return with “81”, which sounds like the lovechild of Go West and Wild Nothing.
Chesterfield’s TRASH are an unassuming looking bunch making evocative dream pop in a similar vein to their contemporaries Magic Gang and The Night Café. On their latest single “81” the band ruminate on growing older and the importance of risk taking whilst a myriad of reverberated guitar reflections and summer tinged melodies give the entire piece a sense of nostalgic melancholia.

Discussing the track the band stated: “When you’re 81 and you’ve had no fun it’s gonna be too late. Most of the songs on this EP are messages to myself. This message is simple: you’re not gonna be around forever so make every second count. Please fulfil life, take a risk, have experiences, laugh a lot and try to worry as little as possible.”
