Jaakko Aukusti's "Moon Tower" is sunny, effects-laden psych-pop of the highest order

Finland's Jaakko Aukusti is preparing to release his debut album in January, and it promises to be quite a day-glo affair.
The young Finn calls his music "warrior pop" (check "Himalaya" to see what you think) and we can only assume this is shorthand for psychedelic, mildly-adrenalized pop music. New track "Moon Tower" might claim to be a bit more relaxed but there's still loads going on in there.
There are percussive loops all over the place, Aukusti's sing-song vocal, acoustic strums, jags of electric guitar and more dazzling effects than you would find in a malfunctioning 8-bit arcade. It's a heady concoction, but moreish...like a bag of E-numbers.
"Moon Tower" is out now via Vild.
