Emily Eavis puts Variety Bazaar festival on hold to focus on Glastonbury

Back in 2017, Eavis revealed that she was planning a new festival called Variety Bazaar to take place at a different location to Worthy Farm, and originally planned for the first year to run in 2021.

Speaking to Music Week, the Glastonbury co-organiser gave an update on the new festival, "That is very much on the back burner for now. We have another run of five years here at Worthy Farm, taking us to 2023, and we are just focusing all our efforts on that for now, but I’m always open to new projects. I just don’t quite think anything could replace Glastonbury!"

This year's Glastonbury takes place next week, and will see Stormzy, The Killers, and The Cure headline Worthy Farm.

Earlier this month Emily and Michael Eavis announced a new book to celebrate 50 years of the iconic festival, including contributions from Adele, Jay-Z, Dolly Parton, Noel Gallagher, and more.
