Welcome to our weekly round-up of shows happening in the grand concert halls, dimly lit basements, airy cafe’s and grimy sweatboxes across the UK and Ireland. All acts featured come with the Best Fit ‘Seal Of Approval’ so you can be assured that your hard earned cash will be well spent. It’s early days but the year already seems to be hitting it’s stride and so to tempt your wallets this week we’ve gathered dates from the likes of Flume, Dan Croll and Syron.
Peter Hook & The Light play Joy Division @ Manchester Cathedral, Manchester 18/01
Well you don’t need to say much more than that title does do you really?! Joy Division co-founder and ex New Order bassist Peter Hook is set to play a monumental home coming.
Dan Croll @ The Old Blue Last, London 18/01
The LIPA trained musician offers up twisted, sophisticated, melodic, upbeat pop by the bucket load.

Flume @ The Haunt, Brighton 22/01
21-year-old Sydney native Flume was all anybody could talk about over here for a while but with his soaring, swollen, romantic dub beats and R&B tendencies it was easy to see why. Still don’t understand? Go check him out yourself.
From slick R&B grooves to jubilant dream pop the double bill of Syron and San Zhi is simply too much to resist and it’s a free show so we don’t want to hear any excuses.
Stubborn Heart @ Berkeley Sweet, Glasgow 24/01
Having grabbed the much coveted Rough Trade Album of the month accolade for their self titled debut, London via Oxford electronic soul duo Luca Santucci and Ben Fitzgerald are heading across the border as part of a larger UK tour.
