Having played London this past week, the New York electro pop trio are making their way to Dublin to treat crowds to the balearic, euphoric perfection contained within their recent True Panther Sounds full-length Diver.
Casablanca @ Old Blue Last, London 18/09
Celebrating the launch of their brand new single ‘Yes’, Jacob Wheldon, Callum Akass, Tom Herzberg and Tom MacColl – aka Casablanca – are set to bring their lovelorn, jangly guitar driven pop melodies to the Old Blue Last and they’re bringing old schoolmates Theme Park along to DJ too.
Dntel @ The Temple HMV Institute, Birmingham
The brainchild of Jimmy Tamborello, Dntel’s latest record Aimlessness is a twelve track journey through warm ambient electronics that features perfect collaborations from the likes of Nite Jewel.
Richard Hawley @ Brighton Dome, Brighton 19/09
Richard Hawley’s sixth solo album Standing at the Sky’s Edge has just garnered him a well deserved Mercury Prize nomination, if you’ve not managed to catch his legendary live performances you’d do well to head along to at least one of the many shows he is playing across the UK this month.
Frightened Rabbit @ Deaf Institute, Manchester 19/09
The follow up to last year’s eponymous EP, Selkirk’s finest are set to release State Hospital on 24 September but will be playing a handful of shows beforehand. Expect an evening of heart breaking, emotive, folk tinged shivers to be sent down your collective spines.
Jens Lekman @ Hackney Empire, London 20/09
The Gothenburg native’s latest album is a collection of bruised romantic tracks, enveloping in their intimacy and light-hearted in their wit.
