Following her double Grammy win, Lorde played a homecoming show in New Zealand yesterday – performing some of her own tracks, as well as those by artists who have influenced her.
Never adverse to a cover rendition (see: her take on Kanye’s “Hold My Liquor”), Lorde performed “Retrograde” by James Blake, The Replacements’ “Swingin Party” and “Easy” by Son Lux.
Watch the performances of “Retrograde” and “Easy” beneath. Sadly there’s no footage yet of the Replacements cover, but you can stream Lorde performing that track in the past instead.
