Glastonbury launch free wifi tractor hotspot
With the 31st (mostly) annual Glastonbury festival taking place this weekend, the organisers have announced a new wifi area launching at this year’s fest.
Michael Eavis and co have today revealed that one of Worthy Farm’s eco-friendly tractors has been turned into a free 4G internet hotspot, available to another at the festival who congregate up to 10 metres away. The project is helmed in conjunction with EE.
“Our 4G tractor demonstrates the innovative approach we’re taking to bring the fastest mobile internet speeds to the UK in a uniquely Glastonbury way,” said the company’s brand director Spencer McHugh. ” uses similar technology to our fleet of 4G cabs trialled earlier this year.”
Meanwhile, Michael Eavis was also in the news early today when he spoke out in favour of badger culling.
Glastonbury runs this weekend at its traditional home of Worthy Farm.
