Black Flag bassist Dave Klein quits band
Despite promising just last week that they’ll strive for better this year than in their rather lacklustre 2013, Black Flag have already encountered another obstacle: with their bassist Dave Klein parting ways with the group.
The hardcore punk outfit had already ditched singer Ron Reyes for pro-skateboarder Mike Vallely, but it seems Klein is another to depart. The exit is thought to have happened at the end of last year, but only became public this week.
Klein posted the news on Facebook, to which Reyes replied: “God Help their poor new bass player if they didn’t have the heart to go through with their plans to turf that old drummer”.
Band leader Greg Ginn recently (and unsuccessfully) sued his former bandmates in rival reunion Flag for copyright infringement of the group’s name.
