Jim White – Chase the Dark Away (Best Fit Session)
To many fans of modern Americana, Jim White occupies a very unique and deserving space.
Arguably as interesting as a human being as he is an artist, Jim has channelled a lifetime of experience into songwriting and performing. His well documented and oft-repeated biography lists stints as a model, surfer, preacher, cab driver and filmmaker. Latest record Where it Hits You was, like so many, born out of adversity – breakups with his label (and wife) were channelled into the Kickstarter-funded long player, which was released earlier this year by Loose, one of our favourite labels.
We caught up with Jim last month, just before he took the stage for an amazing show at London’s Union Chapel.
