Yusuf/Cat Stevens announces Cat On The Road To Findout memoir
Cat Stevens, now known as Yusuf/Cat Stevens, has announced his debut memoir, Cat On The Road To Findout for a September release.
The memoir is expected to cover the full arc of Stevens’ career, ranging from his folk beginnings, early success as a musician in the 1960s and 70s, to his decision to step away from the spotlight after converting to Islam in the late 70s. It also reflects on his return to music decades later and his ongoing work in education and humanitarian projects.
Alongside personal anecdotes, the autobiography includes hand-drawn illustrations by Stevens and a range of archival photographs pulled from his collection. The book offers a personal account of the artist’s decades-long journey.
Known for songs like “Father and Son,” “Peace Train,” and “Wild World,” Stevens became one of the defining voices of his generation.
Cat On The Road To Findout will be available in hardback, ebook, and audiobook formats, with the latter being narrated by Stevens himself. A book tour is expected, though no dates have been announced.
