Wild Beasts mix punchy percussion with feral guitars on new song "Tough Guy"
Wild Beasts are back with yet another taste of their upcoming record Boy King - this one's called "Tough Guy".
This new single links up with "Big Cat", "Celestial Creatures", and "Get My Bang" in previewing the band's follow up to 2014's perfect-scoring LP Present Tense.
Writing about the track on Facebook, Wild Beasts explain: "Having been through multiple softer versions, we found the sloppier and more disgusting we allowed 'Tough Guy' to be, the more powerfully it spoke to us. So we put a leather jacket on it, gave it a distortion pedal and began to flex in the mirror."
Boy King is out 5 August via Domino. A deluxe version includes a bonus 7" with two bonus songs and a 12-page booklet.
Wild Beasts recently announced a huge new tour, including two dates at London's Roundhouse. They headline Green Man 2016 this summer.
