Warm Digits link with Maximo Park's Paul Smith on new track "Fools Tomorrow"
Warm Digits have teamed up with Maximo Park's Paul Smith for new track "Fools Tomorrow", the second single to be lifted from their upcoming LP Flight of Ideas.
"Fools Tomorrow", which features Paul Smith, arrives after Emma Pollock collaboration "The View From Nowhere" was released earlier this month.
The new single is inspired by Samuel Arbesman's The Half Life of Facts book.
Smith says of the collaboration, "I've known Warm Digits since their formation and have been waiting for them to ask me to sing with their band ever since! It was lots of fun to sing something quite stylistically different (for me) in the verses but retain the emotional edge that comes more naturally. The lyrics deal with the idea that deep-seated knowledge can eventually be confounded and yet some facts or feelings retain their integrity for a lifetime. The key is to be open-minded and not be afraid to challenge your own opinions."
Flight of Ideas will follow on from Warm Digits' 2017 album Wireless World.
The new album will feature vocal contributions from The Lovely Eggs, The Orielles, and Rozi Plain.
