Brighton’s Milo Korbenski has announced his new album Sex Angel and has shared its lead single, “Ratworm.”
“Ratworm” captures much of Korbenski’s musical approach. “I wanted it to sound like an album you found on a floppy disk in a puddle,” Korbenski says of the project, “and then you took it home, put it on your iPod, and it became the soundtrack to your summer of fun and debauchery.” The track features elements of lo-fi textures and warped vocals.
Described by Korbenski as “an album of positive realisations,” Sex Angel was written in a burst of creative energy following the scrapping of an earlier version.
Sex Angel will be released on 19 September via Phantom Limb.
