Rina Sawayama shares new anthem "Bad Friend"
Rina Sawayama is back with new anthem "Bad Friend", a final preview of her debut LP SAWAYAMA ahead of its release tomorrow (17 April).
"Bad Friend" is the fifth and final track to be shared from SAWAYAMA before it lands in full tomorrow, and follows on from previous singles "Chosen Family", "XS", "Comme Des Garçons (Like The Boys)" and "STFU!".
Speaking about her LP, Sawayama says, "The album ultimately is about family and identity. It's about understanding yourself in the context of two opposing cultures (for me British and Japanese), what 'belonging' means when home is an evolving concept, figuring out where you sit comfortably within and awkwardly outside of stereotypes, and ultimately trying to be ok with just being you, warts and all."
