Mitski responds to Mac DeMarco's album and track title
Mitski has responded to Mac DeMarco's new album title after fans highlighted the similarity between the two.
Mac DeMarco announced his new album Here Comes the Cowboy today alongside first single "Nobody".
Fans have pointed out that the new album and single is similar to Mitski's 2018 album Be The Cowboy (our favourite album of last year), which also features a track called "Nobody".
Responding to the Mac DeMarco album and track title, Mitski wrote, "I'm 100% sure mac & I just went fishing in the same part of the collective unconscious!"
She adds, "What's wild is we have the same PR, so I LOVE my personal conspiracy theory that she heard the album + track titles but kept quiet thinking maybe some Mac fans will mistakenly find me loll."

Mitski even called out fans that expected her to be angry about the similarities, "my god, why is everyone mad? i'm laughing!"
