Lorde urges New Zealanders to vote and hints at new music for 2021
Lorde has used her Instagram to urge New Zealand citizens to vote in the upcoming election, and has hinted at new music in return.
Yesterday (7 October), Lorde broke her Instagram silence to encourage fellow New Zealanders to vote in the upcoming general election that takes place on 17 October.
On top of urging people to vote, Lorde seemed to hint at the possibility of new music next year in return. She wrote, "Do it for our beautiful country and for me. And next year i'll give you something in return."

Lorde is yet to follow up her 2017 album Melodrama.
Back in May, Lorde shared an update on her new music in an email to fans, in which she said that her new music "is so fucking good, my friend. I am truly jazzed for you to hear it."
