Lana Del Rey performs new song "Prettiest Girl In Country Music" with Nikki Lane and Sierra Ferrel
Footage of Lana Del Rey performing a new track titled "Prettiest Girl In Country Music" with Nikki Lane and Sierra Ferrel has appeared online.
The video, filmed by a fan, is from Nikki Lane’s show in Austin, Texas from last weekend, and saw Lane, Del Rey and Sierra Ferrell perform "Prettiest Girl In Country Music" for the first time.
During the show, Del Rey spoke about the song, revealing it was based on a story that Lane told about beinng hit on by an older man, "Nikki told me a little story about him about he had a little meeting with her and he crept a little too close to her, and he said, ‘How does it feel to be the prettiest girl in country music?’ and I was like, ‘Bleh!’ So immediately I wrote a little chorus and then we expanded."
The video comes after Del Rey released her Euphoria track "Watercolor Eyes" last week, which marked her first new material since her Blue Banisters album arrived in October last year.
