Lady Gaga postpones Chromatica album release because of coronavirus
Lady Gaga has decided to postpone the release of her highly-anticipated Chromatica album due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Chromatica was only announced at the beginning of the month following the release of Lady Gaga's comeback single "Stupid Love".
The album was due for release on 10 April, but today (24 March), Lady Gaga has shared a statement explaining why she's postponing the original release date.
She writes, "I wanted to tell you, that after a lot of deliberation, I've made the incredibly tough decision to postpone the release of Chromatica. I will announce a new 2020 date soon."
Gaga adds, "This is such a hectic and scary time for all of us, and while I believe art is one the strongest things we have to provide joy and healing to each other during times like this, it just doesn’t feel right to me to release this album with all that is going on during this global pandemic."
