Kelly Lee Owens postpones album release date due to COVID-19
Kelly Lee Owens has announced that she's postponing the release of her Inner Song album until August in light of the coronavirus pandemic.
Lee Owens announced Inner Song album last month with the lead single "Melt!". The LP was originally due for release on 1 May, but today (24 March) she's revealed that she's pushing back the release following the current coronavirus chaos.
She wrote on Twitter, "I am sad to say that the release date of my second record Inner Song is being moved to August 28th. We had lots of plans to bring u this album that are now not feasible due to covid-19 & also out of solidarity for the thousands of record stores closing their doors to protect us."
In a second tweet, she adds, "I know so much is uncertain right now for all of us so let’s try to use this as an opportunity to come together in supporting each other in big & small ways. more music & news to come soon. stay safe and well."

Inner Song will follow on from Lee Owens' self-titled 2017 debut LP.
When announcing the album last month, Lee Owens said that Inner Song was inspired by "the hardest three years of my life. . .my creative life and everything I'd worked for up to that point was deeply impacted. I wasn't sure if I could make anything anymore, and it took quite a lot of courage to get to a point where I could create again."
