It looks like Lorde might be releasing a new song called "Solstice" today

Lorde has updated her site with a new teaser titled "Solstice", which fans think could be the title of a new single landing later today (21 June) to coincide with the 2021 summer solstice.

After making her highly-anticipated comeback with "Solar Power" earlier this month, which featured backing vocals from Phoebe Bridgers and Clairo and is the same title of her long-awaited third album (which Lorde appeared to share a teaser of last week), the New Zealand singer/songwriter has updated her website again, this time with a 21-second clip titled "Solstice".

Lorde revealed in a newsletter to fans earlier this month that they should "look to the natural calendar for clues" for her new music and album, so it seems likely that Lorde's "Solstice" teaser is a title for a new single that could potentially be arriving later today (21 June) to coincide with the summer solstice.

Lorde added of her upcoming album in the newsletter, "The album is a celebration of the natural world, an attempt at immortalising the deep, transcendent feelings I have when I’m outdoors. In times of heartache, grief, deep love, or confusion, I look to the natural world for answers. I’ve learnt to breathe out, and tune in. This is what came through."

Last month Lorde was confirmed as a headliner for one of the nights on the second weekend of Primavera Sound 2022.

Lorde is yet to give details on what "Solstice" is. Her Solar Power album is yet to get a release date.
