Iggy Pop unveils eerie new track "Sonali"
Iggy Pop is back with another taste of his Free record, this time in the form of a jittery ballad titled "Sonali".
"Sonali" is the third single to be shared from Iggy Pop's forthcoming album Free, after "James Bond" and "Free".
Speaking to The New Yorker about his new record, Iggy Pop explained, "I began to recoil from guitar riffs in favor of guitarscapes, from twangs in favor of horns, from back beat in favor of space, and, in large part, from the effluent of my own mind and problems, in favor of trying to interpret the poetry of others."
He also revealed he thinks he sounds "nearer and nearer to my expiration. I sound like Shrek."
Iggy Pop's new album Free will follow on from 2016's Post Pop Depression.
