Holly Humberstone links with Griff on "emotional grim reaper version" of "Friendly Fire"
As part of a performance at London's Session Arts Club, Holly Humberstone recruited Griff to feature on an "emotional grim reaper version" of her The Walls Are Way Too Thin EP closer "Friendly Fire".
"Friendly Fire" is the final track on Humberstone's The Walls Are Way Too Thin EP that arrived earlier this month, and as part of a performance recorded at London's Session Arts Club last week, Humberstone invited Griff to play an "emotional grim reaper version" of the closing song.
She wrote of performing with Griff, "was so lovely to have Griff create a version of "Friendly Fire" with me at Session Arts Club !!! she’s such a special artist thank u Sarah for doing this with me."
According to NME, the performance of "Friendly Fire" with Griff will be followed by another song performed with Bombay Bicycle Club's Jack Steadman in the near future.
"Friendly Fire" marked Griff's first live collaboration since joining Sigrid, Sam Fender, AJ Tracey and many more for a cover of Foo Fighters' "Times Like These" as part of BBC Radio 1’s Out Out! Live 2021 event in October.
