Haim express their gratitude on new ballad "Hallelujah"
Haim have returned with their new single "Hallelujah", a ballad expressing gratitude for their sisterly bond.
"Hallelujah" arrives after earlier singles "Now I’m In It", and August's "Summer Girl".
Speaking about the new track, Danielle Haim says, "We’ve always wanted to write a song about our bond as sisters."
Explaining the new release on Instagram, Danielle Haim writes, "My verse is about our relationship as sisters. That feeling of knowing what your sibling is gonna do or say before they do it. Sibling telepathy is a real thing!!!! That is what inspired the concept for this video. When we got together with Paul [Thomas Anderson] we wanted to depict what it’s like to have siblings that always have your back. A support system. This song is a big thank you to the people in your life that love and support you every day."
The new single is the first to be co-written with friend and musician Tobias Jesso Jr.. The track was co-produced by frequent collaborators Ariel Rechtshaid and Rostam Batmanglij, and Danielle Haim.
Between their "Summer Girl" and "Now I'm In It" singles, Haim featured on Charli XCX's "Warm".
