Frightened Rabbit's slot at Meltdown Festival turned into “Mental Health And The Music Industry”
London's Southbank Centre is well underway with The Cure's Robert Smith and his Meltdown Festival. Due to the tragic passing of Frightened Rabbit frontman Scott Hutchison, their performance slot has been swapped out for a panel on “Mental Health And The Music Industry”.
Having kicked off the first evening on 15 June, Robert Smith has taken the reigns for this year's Southbank Centre Meltdown Festival following on from a successful year curated by M.I.A.
Frightened Rabbit were supposed to take to the Queen Elizabeth Hall stage tonight on 19 June, but instead Robert Smith has added a new event into the schedule.
Mental Health And The Music Industry” will be an important panel discussion led by musicians Kristin Hersh (Throwing Muses), Stefan Olsdal (Placebo), Dizraeli, and Christine Brown, Director of External Affairs at leading music charity Help Musicians UK.
The Manic Street Preachers, Low, Moon Duo, Mogwai, Deftones, Nine Inch Nails and more are still to perform.
