
Foals have started work on their next record, and Yannis needs lots of flowers apparently
Foals are starting work on a new record - their fifth in total and first since 2015's acclaimed What Went Down.
Frontman Yannis Philippakis posted a pic to Instagram - featuring him carrying bags of flowers - with the caption "off to write the next record brb."
Foals have played just a few shows this summer - including festivals in France and Spain, and a headline slot at London's Citadel bash - as they shut the door on the What Went Down phase of their career.
Although the indie titans planned a nice, long break originally, Philippakis confirmed to Q that they weren't doing that anymore, instead hurtling back into the studio for their next steps. Back in January the singer/guitarist told NME: "I’ve been writing bits here and there... I don’t know if it’s for Foals yet. We’re not in a hurry."
